Arsen - Mia Asher

Five stars for this incredible, powerful, gut wrenching story....

“If only I had known that it takes more than love to make a marriage work, then maybe our story would be different.”

I really don't know where to start with my review and convey my feelings about this amazing story and fabulous writing.....I went through a range of emotions…..…at first I thought, ‘silly woman’ what are you doing???? I felt anger, disgust, (how could she??), my understanding developed and, with that, a great love for all 3 characters…..I felt sorrow, sadness, sympathy, so many feelings......it's had me in bits these last 2 days, I finished last night and it's still affecting me...I found it that powerful. I'm not going to tell you what happens....you'll have to read it for yourself but I'm going to explain what I think about this very emotive story.

"Ben makes colours seem brighter when he walks into a room, he makes my heart feel as if it wants out of my chest every time I see him or think of him. He makes my world spin."

The relationship and dynamic between husband and wife came across very clearly.

Ben & Cathy's romance is told by showing glimpses of their past...how they met when she was just 18 and he was 22, how they felt.....it gives a beauty to the story. They had an intense attraction to each other...it was all consuming, a forever kind of love and it felt so very real to me.....bought back my own feelings of when I met my one true love.....it made this story extra poignant and sad.

Ben is so nice, I loved him from the start, but him being so nice and perfect, in the face of their situation....drives Cathy mad....she needs more than, 'it will be ok'....because for her it may not be.....He thinks she's too negative......"....so I just don't talk to him about it anymore..."

He becomes a constant reminder of their situation.....making love becomes a means to an end….

"For you I will do anything. Anything." ~Ben

"Am I so desensitized to him....."

My heart was breaking for them......how can something so perfect and so right go so wrong??????

Face your fears and your issues.......COMMUNICATE......

Arsen is a young, rich man and used to getting what he wants.....

"He is danger."

She is attracted to him....

She knows it’s wrong .......they become friends, he lets her be who she needs to be...he doesn't judge her.....he provides her need for numbness.....

"He made me forget.”

I should have disliked him but I couldn't help but warm to him and love him which makes the story even more conflicting to read….....

"With one look, Arsen provides the warmth I didn't know I needed until this very moment. "Oh Dimples."

Arsen will not be for everyone, some people will hate Cathy’s character, I understand that......the blurb tells us clearly that cheating is the major theme in this story, it’s not pretty, in fact it’s downright ugly at times…...it emotes strong emotions and reactions..... The subject does not sit well with me, it's not an easy subject, but it's NOT black and white and that's life isn't it? We have to trust that in the end life will lead us to make the right choices for us, despite all the crazy shit it might throw at us.....and the right choice can be changeable and organic and not always palatable.

What we see in this book is a girl called Cathy living her own individual journey.... and, personally, I grew to love her.....I didn't love her decisions but I understood them, I could see her character had real motivation, I got her ....I feel a strong desire to defend her....the character development is amazing......the writing made me empathize with Cathy.....live her pain, her sadness, her emptiness, her disgust and devastation.....I felt it all. What she does is deplorable, there's no getting away from it, it can NOT be condoned...…she herself makes no excuses, hates herself but cannot stop the path she's on.

"A lying, cheating deceitful woman like me should suffer." ***And believe me she does***

"What is it like to have your heart ripped out when you can't have what nature was meant to provide?"

What would you do if there was something that would numb an unbearable pain, bring back the light…....would you take it, even if it meant sacrifice??

She has an all consuming fear and pain, she's in a dark reality......she's losing herself and it's affecting everything.....

How would you feel faced with a pain so raw?

"I want to not feel. Not one thing."

What would be your band aid, your tonic, your solace?

"Make me forget. Please, make me forget."

♥ Can you love two men at the same time?

This book also explores.....love and it's different forms, (is love enough?) fate, life choices, judgement and loss .....this book was a very special read.

It gave me answers…….…left questions……..sadness……left me wanting more.

I felt everything....…for all 3 characters, not just Cathy. All 3 of them are in my heart……in fact, truth be told, and having reflected on it for a couple of days, it's Ben who my tears flowed for the most, especially hearing his thoughts;

Ben and Arsen and that heart breaking, knife twisting epilogue completely messed with my head......utterly book-soul destroying......I need something more for him!!! You'll know who, if or when you've read the book!!I think this story is going to be with me for a while.....

"Love is infinite. There is no beginning and no end. There's no starting point and no finishing line. Love just is. Love is born, grows, matures, and sometimes it dies. But the memory will remain with you for the rest of your breathing hours. You fall in love, you fall out of love. But you will love again. You always do." ~ Cathy

♥ I would LOVE to see this story made into a film.
♥ Someone please make it so???
♥ It would be beautifully epic!!!

♥ Heartbreaking BR with B&D pinks ♥ Thank you for being there ladies....love Jxxx ♥

Pieces of You - Cassia Leo

The 'secret' revealed at the end of book 1 is heart breaking and Pieces of You continues dealing with the fallout of this secret and of course the love triangle....... Claire did what she did for ALL the right reasons but for me those reasons are no more and it's heartbreaking......Claire feels, loss, guilt, remorse, regret, sadness.... Her heart hurts and so does mine....

"I'm stuck in the hell of knowing there is no turning back." (THIS IS WHAT I DON'T GET????? Why is there no turning back???)

I couldn't stop crying whilst reading about the secret and the consequences. The emotion of it all is so tangible. It's probably the thing that annoys me the most about this series but in a weird, emotional way, it's also the thing I love the most; it's probably what makes the story AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL.

Cheating is NOT the theme of this book but there is a love triangle with two wonderful guys..... they both love her and she loves the both of them.....
Who's heart means the most to her....???
Who does she really want deep down...???
What should happen...???

Claire is a genuinely nice, beautiful book character caught up in a desperate situation that she has no control over and I'm not talking about the gorgeous guys....

Sweet, surfer Adam.... 'fell-in-love-with-Claire-recently,' ....their relationship is so beautiful and lovely. He has to leave for Hawaii for a short time... but he will be back....

So cute!!!

Mr Rockstar, Chris Knight is back....and firmly in the picture.... He's the Swoon-some guy, Claire has a 'deep-everlasting-connection-with.'

"The biggest mistake you made was loving me enough to let me go." ~Chris

"Your face and your words are entangled in everyone of my happiest memories..... I'm not myself without you." ~ Chris

Chris believes, despite everything, they are, "made for each other." I had a few doubts, because Adam is also lovely, but by the middle of this book I was firmly ....

I have everything crossed for a happy-ever-after..... it's just with Claire's 'secret' from the first book..... I'm not sure if their HEA is possible in every sense of the word but I will keep hoping.

"No one knows how to love me like you and no one knows how to hurt me like you."

♥ BR with one of my Besties.....Lady B xxxxx
Lady D was in Seattle somewhere..... xxxx
Relentless - Cassia Leo 3.5 "Where we love is home.' beautiful stars.

This book is about a lost girl, Claire Nixon, who is trying to find her way through the shitty life she's been dealt.... She has a dead mother, no father, a history of life in the care system, a lost love, a new love and a huge, there's no-going-back-from, secret.

To help herself cope, Claire meditates... all the time... it seems a little random at first but you actually get used to it by the end of this book and completely accept it in book two.

The boys.....

The lost love, is Chris Knight.... Mr gorgeous, (I couldn't wait to meet you) Rockstar, with tattoos and piercings. He's was once everything to Claire and she was everything to him. She encouraged Chris to pursue his dream..... however this had far reaching consequences for them both....

The new love, Adam Parker has, 'sun-kissed brown hair,' he's another hottie and a sexy surfer and works his way, very quickly, into Claire's life, and Claire's heart.

Adam, surfer boy has his own secret....

I felt the tingling jitters when they were getting to know each other.... their first date, their first kiss.... it was lovely.... if not maybe a little too instant (I didn't quite feel it as the characters, but by the end of the book I didn't care that the insta love was too quick)... I enjoyed Adam flirting (he's very good at it)The silly jokes he tells to ease situations..... that new romance butterfly feeling was there for me.

Why only 3.5 stars?????

I feel a little mean but if I'm completely honest, up until about the 75/80% mark it was just an ok read with an 'insta love' that was all too quick. Then some book magic happened.....Claire's secret is revealed (I never would've guessed!) and the story skyrocketed for me. It made me feel sick, the finality of her secret.

It's a love triangle and I'm not sure which guy I want....both are great in their own way... I thought Adam was too much too soon but after the revelation he was just an amazing character and Chris is simple lovely. I fell in love with the story; I fell in love with Claire and the two gorgeous boys, Adam and Chris. If I'm honest, I'd fallen for Chris before his character spoke his first words in his first scene... maybe that is a sign!!!

On this beautiful book journey the reader makes a number of discoveries, the biggest and most intense being Claires..... it is these discoveries that drives the story forward and by the end of book 1, I was rooting for the characters. I've already finished book 2 (It is AMAZING!!!) and I'm straight onto book 3. Over all, this series is cute, sexy and sad and has a 4-5 star feel about it with lovable characters and an interesting story. xxxx

Just beautiful!!

The Mistress - Tiffany Reisz 5 ‘I’ve been Soren-ed’ stars…..

"Adult love. Private love. Passionate love."

WOW... just wow!!!! I have so many feelings about this book... Now I accept everything.... I LOVE everything... it's been one amazing journey of passionate kink and love and I've absolutely been mesmerized by it. Entranced by it. Tiffany Reisz is one amazing writer, I CANNOT fault her..... every single character earns their place in greatness.... It's awe inspiring...... I'm going to attempt to unscramble the thoughts in my mind.... there's just so much to this story, so many layers and depths of brilliance.... this series is pure gold....and genius!!!!

At the end of the last book……

The thief has been discovered…...

Nora is in great peril…..

“….time is running out.” ~ Soren

This fourth installment of The Original Sinners series, shows that love has the power to be, not only passionate, erotic and sexy, but incredibly obsessive and dangerous as well…….

“….eventually we all must pay for our sins.”
~ Said the evil bitch!!!

“This wasn’t sadism or some role-play between consenting adults. This was violence real violence and danger, the most pressing danger.”

The characters who own my heart in this book are, without any doubt in my mind, Soren, Nora and Kingley..... (Griffin and Michael are right up there too!!!)

Wes, Laila, Grace and Zach are also all fantastic and characters I'd love to read more about in the future.

I never thought a conversation between Wes and Soren would reduce me to tears..... Wesley, for me, is representative of a lot of peoples initial perception of Soren... and I would include myself in that....

What is the greatest sacrifice of all???? I think we are faced with it in this heart breaking story.... it smacks you in the face and painfully twists the knife.

"There's nothing I wouldn't do to protect you, Eleanor. Nothing I wouldn't do to help you. And nothing I wouldn't do to save you. Nothing." ~ Soren

I love Nora and Soren as a couple..…. I love all the characters sharing????? What am I saying???? I don’t know.... This author has made me, not want their life, but love the fact that they have it for themselves.

♥What will become of this love???

Soren suffered greatly as a child.... it made him who he is, made him strong, gave him his faith, his capacity to love, his understanding and awareness of other people....

"I will never take you anywhere you don't want to go......But there will be times you might not enjoy the trip there."

I now understand how Soren feels about his desires....his sadism..... but he is who he is, the people who love him, and the people he loves, are consenting adults with safe words.

"How nice when dreams come true." ~Soren

"I fantasized about kink before I met him..... He does kink because he has to. I do it because I want to."

I understand his reasons and rationale for sharing...???

.....the reasons why Nora may sometimes needs someone else...the reasons why he had a platonic relationship with Kingsley for many years....

♥ it all becomes crystal clear in The Mistress.....

"Soren still loved him, had always loved him, would always love him. But he'd feared inflicting irreparable harm....."

My heart hurt so much for them..... I felt so desperate for Kingsley.... He discovers something amazing, something he never believed possible and I'm not talking about his sister.... then he's faced with a dire situation.... WHAT WILL HE DO????

♥ Tiffany Reisz has shown me that Soren is a good man and does everything for the best of reasons.....

Soren demonstrates his Catholic faith very clearly.....
......and the fact that he is so calm and spiritual, gives him an aura of peace, tranquility and authority.

I understand why Nora does Not want Soren to sacrifice his vocation.

I have never read a book where my deepest desire was for all the characters to live in one big kinky commune???

I understand One week loan with complete clarity....

"I loaned Eleanor to Daniel. I gave Daniel to Eleanor."

It didn't show Soren's cruelty (well maybe it did a little.) What it showed with absolute certainty is Nora's deep everlasting love for Soren.

If I doubted I would grow to love Soren all doubt has now gone; the end of this book completely pulled at my heart. He makes everything make sense ..... How could anyone get to the end of The Mistress and not love him for who he is???

There was no past tense with Soren. When he loved, what he loved, who he loved he loved eternally. "Sometimes the only way to show them you love them is to let them go."

What would become of Nora and all the people she loves.....??? The ending of this book had me in complete bits.....even reading my highlighted quotes now is causing my heart to hurt. Nora prayed, and I cried... her words are so moving and inspiring and hopeful.... She shows her true strength and love in her prayers.

"....hiding in her heart where she kept all her most beautiful memories of Soren."

Checkmate

"....all three of them belonged together, and they would never let anything or anyone divide them again."

♥ What will be the next generation of Kink????

Tiffany Reisz please give me more of their future!!!!!! PLEASE!!!

♥ BR with Deanna and lots of other lovely ladies. Reading and discussing this series with others has made it even more special for me, I've loved every miniute, Barb, Deanna, Irene, Mo, Sarah, Shannon & Stella and probably lots of others...... xxxxx
The Prince (The Original Sinners) - Tiffany Reisz "I watched you watch me."

We have the North.... past and present with Kinglsey, Soren & Nora

We have the South..... the present with Wes and Nora.

What will we have in future....??????

The Prince turns things upside down for me......

Not only is this a highly erotic book with all kinds of kinkiness but its a wonderful passionate love story and a spectacular 'who done it???'

It has everything......

All the painful delicate issues you could imagine; difficult topics and themes are layered into this series. They're revealed through a fabulous story that's utterly compelling....

There's a thief......who is it??? I had many suspects..... I'm not going to list them....my gut instinct was right and I don't want to give you any clues.... just go with the flow.... there's one major clue ...... it's so exciting.... I love it!!!!!!

******

Who experiences the greatest love of all....???
♥Who does your heart belong to...???
♥Who do you want to see have their desires and dreams completely fulfilled??

Just some of the thoughts going round in my head...

There are parts to this story that are quite brutal, hard to understand and rationalize, but there are also extremely tender moments; a touch, a look or a thought from a character brings you back from being uncomfortable to melting at two peoples affection and adoration for each other.

In places The Prince is truly beautiful.... the emotions it evokes from the characters are so very powerful it translates with equal force to the reader..... that's how it felt to me anyway.

Nora is still on her man journey and taking me with her all the way....

"... I missed who I was with you..."

Nora likes who she is with Wes, her summer, "...you make me a different person, a better person..." This is the most articulate book I have ever read in describing how people can love more than one person, and in different ways.

Wes and Nora made me feel tingly when they finally made the move.....when Wes said...."Let's go to bed." I swooned...

Who is the real Nora....???
♥Are we products of our experiences???
♥Can you be anyone you choose to be....???
♥Has destiny and fate already laid a path for you......???
♥Do you have to choose...???

Can you have everything????

In the South I saw a taste of what I wanted for Nora's character, what I thought would be the ideal..... I loved it, it made me warm inside, but at the same time, I'm not sure that's really what I want for her anymore.... or that it's the best for her.... confused..??? I certainly am......

"He is in fact the best man on earth,
not that anyone ever believes me
when I tell them that."

"Anyone who knows him
at all loves him. And if they
don't love him, then they do
not know him."

We learn a lot more about Soren and Kinglsley's time at Saint Ignatius. Their friendship, their connection... their love, their kinks It was all to last a lifetime, the friends were to be forever entwined.

We gain further understanding of all the 'loves'..... There are reasons for everything and Tiffany Reisz has so masterfully weaved them into this series.... weaved them and blown our minds.

"They had dreamed of such a girl as this...... He had found her and he would share her." ~ Kingsley

"When you love somebody, they own you whether you're kinky or not." .......True ♥

P.S. I adore Kingsley ♥

Submit to Desire - Tiffany Reisz Submit....

Kingsley Edge is a Matchmaker with a difference. His clients have,
"...specific desires."

He's looking for a match for a very wealthy, attractive client....
"A dominant desires his submissive trust him enough to allow him to take her even when she is afraid."

*Who is this client???
*Will he be able to train the lady who has caught his eye???
*Will she be able to submit and meet the clients' kinky desires????

This exciting, erotically enhanced short story is delightful and gave more insight into the world Kinglsey reigns supreme in, "...his kinky little community." We also see Kingsley's caring side present itself; he eloquently explains the way things are in his world....and how fabulous that world is for those who choose to experience it. He's very sure of himself, content in his own skin and that is a very, very SEXY quality in a man.

I LOVED it and would like to see more of the strong submissive he trained so thoroughly..... ***wink wink*** Things got very, very HOT!!!!!! And Tiffany gave us a very nice little ending...

Thanks Rosalinda for advising me to read this before THE Prince.... I feel a much better connection to Kingsley's character after reading.... Submit to Desire.

♥ BR with my lovely, Deanna... think it was just the two of us for this one????
Little Red Riding Crop (The Original Sinners, #0.6) - Tiffany Reisz A very well written sinners, short story.....

Nora wants Kinglsey to give her a break and to earn her holiday she has a task. Her challenge..... should she choose to accept it....at her own risk, is to enter rival club Black Forest and sort out a little problem for Kingsley.....

She needs to speak to the, "...mysterious Dame who no one ever saw but everyone had heard of."

Only one man stood in her way......the

He's very large, with muscles on his muscles, handsome and very, very, sexy.... another man to add to Nora's collection!!!

"Typical sadist-arrogant, superior, and casually brutal. They really were her favorite men."

A super, sexy, erotic short story with a nice little twist that I really didn't see coming.....

A nice little freebie
Thank you, Miss Reisz xxx
The Angel (The Original Sinners) - Tiffany Reisz

The Angel takes place a year after the end of The Siren......

Nora enjoys sex and enjoys it with different people.. this isn't your usual romance story but it's her story... her desires

Once again we get a story full of delicious erotically charged situations, shown to us in such beautiful detail... and a story that explores the unusual in human desires...... again I will not spoil the story with my review, I just have a few thoughts.... okay..... scratch that... a lot of thoughts.... I have a lot to say!!!!

This series, for me, raises questions about morality, about love.... What do I think is acceptable and right between two people...??? What would I be comfortable with??? It also, undoubtedly, raises questions about the Catholic Faith…..

"You have a distinctly Catholic look in your eyes......Guilt." If you're a Catholic you'll totally get this.... it made me laugh with mirth, it's so true... I will leave Catholicism here…..

What would happen if their affair was revealed???
***There would be far reaching consequences in many areas....

Soren has the opportunity of a new job; a promotion that would change everything and put life as they know it, at risk...

Suzanne.... our antagonist.... is a reporter sent to uncover Soren??? But what is she meant to discover??? And who tipped her off??? She's incredibly attracted to Soren... he's blond, tall, striking....and staggeringly charismatic..... Who wouldn't be attracted???

"Extremely intelligent and
ridiculously handsome."

Suzanne has been Soren-ed.

"Soren is a sadist and a dominant."

Soren never seems to get and angry, he's very calm and has a "...peace and certainty," aura about him, he's the master of control. And he's so wise and all knowing, like he's of some higher power... in some ways it's quite spooky.....

"In their huge underground kinky community, no one commanded more respect or fear than Soren."

We learn a lot more about his family life, how he came into the world, details about his sister....his mother.... his father... the things he's sacrificed.... when Soren tells his story it gave me goosebumps..... Is this why he is who he is??? Or would he have had certain desires and proclivities anyway???

Do I feel sympathy for his choices, his sacrifice...??? Has he really sacrificed anything???

"For Soren, S & M was like air or water-he needed it to function."

"Her body came alive with pain, pain that turned to pleasure as he continued his assault on her."

This has to be one of my favorite quotes from Nora, it made me laugh...... To a member of the church congregation she says, "If it's an abomination, it's because your doing it wrong. Bear down hard, then relax. It'll fit better."

As well as having a great sense of humor, Nora is caring and fiercely loyal and has an immense capacity to love..... my question is, and I still don't know the answer my heart wants, who exactly should she love????? Should she love and be with Soren???? What about Wesley???

I feel like she doesn't think she deserves anything more than she has... I get that from the character... I think.... and not my pre-conceived ideals "...wanted him....not for the sex. For something else so much deeper and scarier...." Surely she could have it all with Wes to some degree????

Wesley is there in the background of this book, not a main feature but a definite presence. We find out a little more about him also...

But... Soren??? Soren?? Soren??? I'm so bloody confused????

The one thing I find really hard to get my head around is....

"Since he owned her, he could lend her out and she'd still be his."

What?????

"...as long as no one hurt her-that was his job alone."
It's almost like the pain is the highest level of intimacy???

Sharing..... such intimate moments shared with more people than I, or society, would consider normal yet there was something so tender about it in one particular place...???? I don't understand.... but....???

Is it the constraints society puts on us that makes us think their sharing lifestyle is wrong....? Is it so wrong if that's what they both want?? They are open and honest, there's no sneaking around... it's not for me personally, but maybe it's perfect for some? Maybe it could be liberating for some?

I don't understand their relationship but it seems to work for, Nora and Soren and other characters is this book... sharing, sexual infidelity, extreme BDSM....

The most shocking act blood play was so raw and intimate... Nora and Soren have a closeness and an awareness of each other that is untouchable...it's deep.... and if I'm honest it touched my heart at times. Whilst Soren is not for me, I'm completely invested in them as a couple and at certain points I felt like my heart was routing for them to be together in the strange world they seem to thrive in. They're not harming anyone and only hurting themselves.

Griffin Fiske is laird of the manor. Tattooed, playboy millionaire and one time druggie... boy did he shine in this book. He shone so bright, I was completely enamored with him and his story.

Michael.....Your heart breaks for Michael and with that heart break comes a want..... to understand him and his S & M lifestyle choice...

"Michael is absolutely, completely, ridiculously beautiful." and for me that's both inside and out...... He's so young but his story of self discovery about who he is and who he needs to be was touchingly beautiful. To see it unfold, the realization for him….. the belief in himself....just stunning....

"Love was fcuking terrifying." ~ Michael

One of the most memorable things for me was the emergence of the most amazing relationship between Michael & Griffin All of their scenes left me wanting more of them and more for them... their love to me was stunning and powerful.... I had feelings of sadness and disbelief towards the dad and to people who cannot accept same sex relationships.... love is love..... this led me to think, well.... what is wrong with the lifestyle Soren and Nora choose.... I don't understand the sharing and the extreme pain and other activities ....why would they want that??? But shouldn't we just accept that it is there way.... love is love..... just a thought...

The author shows us through the eyes of all the characters. She gives us a pick n mix.... who's the one???

"She seemed to be something of a man-collector."

I love and adore the way Nora's mind wonders off into the past to give us glimpses and insight into all the major characters. It fleshes out the story creates ambiance... lets us understand why... provides years of information in a show and not tell kind of way. Nora pulls us in and out of her past effortlessly.

Tiffany Reisz shows, shows and then shows some more, she gives us amazing descriptions so we see them but as well as seeing them we feel them. I started to feel Soren... feel things about him I maybe shouldn't... I'm still not completely his but...???

This author is taking me on some kind of amazing man character journey, destination unknown......and I'm loving every single kinky minute ♥I'm fighting against being Soren-ed but I can feel it coming....

Seven Day Loan (The Original Sinners, #0.5) - Tiffany Reisz

Seven.... Day.... Loan.... The title says it all......and we're not talking about books here, ladies.....??? It's hard for me to get my head around.... Sharing??? Passing around like an object, a possession????

I'm trying to understand!!!

A lot can happen in seven days.....

I loved those seven days, LOVED, LOVED, LOVED. ♥

Those seven days moved me to tears...... and got to my heart in many ways. I never expected this short story to move me the way it did.... but it happened, and I long to uncover more about the phenomenon that is Nora & Soren.

Daniel's divine, so lonely and so very lovely......They're good companions and, in those seven days, have all the time in the world together...... It seems to me that with Daniel, she tastes the relationship she truly desires with Soren, She gives Seven Days Loan.... but is there a chance she's risking more???? Her heart, maybe???

This story is mind blowing, again..... and says a lot about the power and control one person can have over another. Such power, that ultimately, they're confident in the outcome of..... Seven Days Loan????

"You....are a force of nature."

I know this probably will never happen but TEAM NORA & DANIEL!!!!! Just saying. ♥

The Siren - Tiffany Reisz 5I really don’t know where to begin…….. Stars

A good friend told me this book needs to be revealed as you read it, and they are absolutely right, so let me attempt to give you just a flavor of my experience and feelings without spoiling your enjoyment....

This is a highly erotic, kinky, dark, intense read where you enter another world; the world of Nora & Soren

My head is a complete ball of fuzz after reading The Siren. I spent the whole time feeling my mind would explode from the intense themes, characters, scenarios…. Goodness..... this book is NOT to be missed and creates strong emotions and thoughts, intense discussions about the characters and story which, for me takes the book to a higher level and enhances the passion of reading. It challenges, evokes, disgusts; all thoughts and opinions are valid, it’s just so hard to sort them out from the jumbled mess they become in your spinning head.

"Imagine being as deep inside a woman's mind as you are inside her body." ~ Nora

What is right? What is wrong?? Who do I like??? Who’s controlling who???? Who has my emotional loyalty?????
Should I be feeling this??????

Soren, you're charismatic, powerful, sexy, sinful....but you cross too many lines for me personally. I’m still not really sure what I think about you, I felt a softening at one point but then……eeeek, I can’t say….. Are you evil.....? That's maybe too strong a word and I don't think you are....Bad...??? Maybe.... Caring??? I think YES...(shocking, I know)..... Manipulative....??? I think yes...I saw you in action showing this ugliness You used Nora's unwavering trust in you in an abhorrent way with Michael, imo

"...if this is love then he shouldn't love you anymore."

I felt how you gave Nora the strength to continue with her book. I can feel your love for each other, it's palpable,..... it's just... what comes with it, doesn't make it beautiful and I like love to be beautiful.

"....the pain bought her to life..."

Nora, I need to know more about your past…. WHY WHY WHY.... I think I like you, Nora, I think I've warmed to your vulnerable side. You're one kinky lady who likes to give; men adore you... you're beautiful, sexy and resilient and I think you strive to do the best thing in your own 'special' way. People say you're strong, in many ways I think you are, but I want you to be stronger!!!

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Wes, you're an adorable, innocent, pure loving sweet heart….. So genuine and gorgeous, I shed a few tears for you, my dreamboat..... I WANT YOU, you may be too good for Nora......?

Zach, I'm really sorry, I know you're a necessary character but you bored me... I found you to be a bit of a plonker.... maybe that'll change????

*********

So to sum up my thoughts and feelings towards the characters......I'm team Nora and Soren, I think, but I lust after Wesley.... I think that's ok....? Or would I like to see her with Wes????? Zach...? I've sort of forgotten about him already!!! lol

One thing is absolutely certain, this series leaves you wanting to delve more into Nora's S & M world of passion, love and intrigue.

The Siren left me feeling unsure about everything and so I guess the jury is still out. What I DO know is that this is an amazingly written book, it gets everyone talking passionately and I feel like I'm on some kind of mind blowing journey, on a road to who knows where? And I don't want to stop yet!!!!! If you're one of the few who hasn't taken the ride, and you enjoy an intense, dark, thought provoking read, then jump on board, I think you'll enjoy.

♥ Amazingly Epic BR with...Barb, Deanna, Mo, Sarah Literary Hottie & StellaR ♥

Lover Enshrined - J.R. Ward 4 work-hard-for-your-story Stars

"Sometimes words didn't go far enough, the vessels of letters and the ladles of grammar incapable of holding the hearts sentiments."

This book's bloody hard work for the first 45% but oh, so worth it in the end...... worth the effort and slight boredom for the epicness of the continuation of the Black Dagger Brotherhood story.......

"Phury's a good male. A great male. He loves deeply."

I ♥ this series. I've fallen in love with the gorgeous hunks of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. There are those..... Viscous & Butch who are my absolute favorites and then there's Phury?????...The character whom this book is supposed to focus on????

"He was a two-hundred-year-old clueless celibate."

In reality, as per all the books in this series, J R Ward weaves and winds various other story-lines, characters, and awesomeness through this book.... she's the queen of interweaving stories.... however, in this one she may have over-weaved, just slightly. You feel me?

I felt nervous anticipation during most of this book.

Lover Enshrined is a story about being lost, finding yourself, traditions, antiquated systems....standing up for what you believe in, sacrifice, innovation, a story of change...brother love, acceptance, understanding. It highlights the hypocrisy in their beliefs.... is there a message in there? There's a lot of deep and meaningful context in this story which, in my opinion, reflect real life.

We see Vampire history in the making.

A good friend compared the BDB to family, and I agree, we put up with them even when they annoy us and this is how I felt with this book. I love the series so much I was ok with being bored with the first half...the second part completely made up for it.

The ending still gave me that warm satisfied feeling, the fuzzies, so if you're reading this series and have heard Phury's book is not that great then, take heart, it gets there in the end.

"Change was the only hope they had for the future."

"The Chosen will finally get to choose."

"I am the strength of the race, I am the Primale. And so shall I rule."

♥ An epic BR with Barb, Deanna and Pam ♥
♥ Thank you to Anna for sending us a lovely song for Phury, and her lovely voice, it put a big smile on my face and helped a lot!!! ♥
Reckless - Skye Jordan 4.5 Smiling, Shiny, Stars

♥ Reckless was like fantasy imagination land for me, it drew me in immediately and I LOVED it.

The story is about two gorgeous people looking for something....they both have success in their careers but, as with all our perfect H/h, they need more, even though they may NOT realize it.

"My name is Lexi and I'm a sexual train wreck."

Lexi, our lady, is a 28 year old, '...all-American Blonde.....Over the last 2 years, she'd become the most expensive, most in-demand couture wedding dress designer in Southern California." But would her career opportunities cost her in other areas of her life???? She has a beautiful face and a body to die for....but she's fed up of people only wanting her for show, for horrible shallow, selfish reasons.....

Jax,Stuntman extraordinaire and former actor.....what can I say about this piece of perfect gorgeousness with a, '...muscled torso,' and a sexy jacket.....? I was swooning and melting all over the place....he has the right looks, the right words and it seems he's an expert at SEXTING..... that's right sexting, the art of sending delicious naughty texts, WORD TEXTS...there should be more of this kind of SEXTING...... I for one am going to partaking; he's an expert lover too!!!!

"I like the fiery, fast sex, fast sex so passionate your vision blurs."

"I like wild, frantic, have-to-have you sex that burns you alive."

"I like the kind of sex that includes sliding my tongue into all your very tight spaces.""

"I just love wickedly hot sex with a woman who loves wickedly hot sex."

Oh, Jax....YES, YES, YES & YES.....PLEASE

Reckless is off the scale delicious with its steam and romance factors. It gives you hot, wild, wonderful..... need-to-change-your-knickers kind of hot, hot sex!!!!

"When I fcuk you baby, it's going to be for hours."

"Let everything go and ride my mouth."

Can you see why I had a smile on my face the whole way through?

Sometimes I need emotional roller-coaster type reads, full of raw angst, and sometimes I need....'Reckless,' something fantastically amazing.... something that sets my romantic imaginations or daydreams on fire.....something where I'm not going to worry about things going wrong or characters being arses... Reckless delivered and I LOVED IT ... it gave me just what I needed.

Beautiful, romantic and heart melting

"Risk. Jax is all about risk. And letting go."

The only thing that stopped me from giving the full 5 shiny stars was a small part at the end. Jax and his motivation for his actions, when he left her was just a little lame, imo. I still loved it but, I would have preferred it to be slightly different. I'm being picky, I know..... it's a very small thing and didn't spoil my enjoyment or detract from the story, it's all make-believe anyway!!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a story about Lexi's fabulous best friend, Rubi and Jax's cheeky friend, Wes.....

"I'll stay...Always." ~ Jax

♥ BR with the fabulous B & D ♥

♥ A big thank you to Lkay and Mo for highly recommending this gorgeous book!!!
Dead Ever After - Charlaine Harris

I read this series back to back last year.

I loved the world of Bon Temps.....a magical world with delicious Vampires, Witches, Fairies, Shapeshifters, Weres.....so many possibilities and it gave us everything....LOVE, SUSPENSE, INTRIGUE, PASSION, wonderful characters and of course the fabulous series that is TRUE BLOOD. I have a lot to be thankful for with this series.

I was so excited about this 13th and final book, right up until it was released...what would happen to my beloved characters???

It soon became apparent, from reviews that this book was not what the fans expected.....my expectations were managed and I put off reading the book for quite some time.

And in the end I was totally....

My thought was, 'This is how you're ending an epic series?? A series that your fans adore???'

Further more it was actually quite boring.....in my opinion.

Charlaine Harris had a plan for the ending of this series and she stuck to her intention, it's a shame she didn't consider her fans in this plan, that's just my opinion.

I can understand the message behind the ending..... Sookie Stackhouse doesn't need any man to survive...she's strong and perfectly fine on her own???? She maybe fine but the fans needed something else!!!!
Axel (Corps Security, #1) - Harper Sloan 3.5 Axel Loving Stars

"Axel, my love, my heart, my everything."

"Oh how cruel fate is."

"People say karma is a bitch but I have news for you, karma doesn't have anything on fate when she is after blood."

This is a book, I've been looking forward to read for a while, I believed it to have all the elements I LOVE in a story....strong Alpha males....LOTS OF THEM......pain, sadness, heartache, a lost love, passion, sex......lots of emotion....FEELINGS.....ANGST!!!!!

Does it have all of this, well yes in essence it does and I liked it which is why I've given 3.5 stars. I guess what I really expected was to feel more emotion inside my heart.....

My wish list

* I wish Axel had been introduced sooner, maybe at the very beginning??? And then we could have gone back in time to the other events.....does that make sense? I felt it was a little topsy turvy, but that's just my opinion.

* I wish the additional characters, the brothers, had been a little more drip fed to me.

* I wish there was another reason for them losing touch because the reason given didn't seem truly plausible to me???? surely he knew where her grandparents lived? Consequently this meant all the angst and emotions coming from the characters, because of the loss and missing time, did not mean as much to me…...I kept thinking...REALLY

* I wish the misunderstanding between them hadn't continued for so long....If I was Izzy, I would have hundreds of questions and I'd want answers????

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I think because of my 'wish list' I did not get into the flow of the book until around 45%. Once I put aside my main gripe of, would that really have happened??? I enjoyed it....some of it I really liked....and even loved...I wanted to see them get their happy-ever-after....♥

I LOVED Axel I think he's a brilliant character....him and Izzy together have an intense passion and sexual fire that you can feel is deep and intense. I LOVE their connection and deep lasting love.....their words and thoughts when they are together are sexy and beautiful.....

"....you were made for me, baby."

“I want you alone in my house, where only my ears can hear you scream."

The start of the story was touching and powerful.....it felt real....

Harper Sloan has created a beautiful world of Alpha males, and I'm looking forward to reading more about them and seeing where this series goes. I think it will get better and better!!!

“…safe in Axels embrace with the gift of our love in my arms.”

“making my dreams come true, Princess. Making my life worth living. Love you so much, baby.” Axel
I thought this was beautiful. ♥

“This is healing.” – Izzy

BR with the B&D ♥

Arsen - Mia Asher Five stars for this incredible, powerful, gut wrenching story....

I felt everything....…for all 3 characters, not just Cathy. All 3 of them are in my heart……in fact, truth be told, and having reflected on it for a couple of days, it's Ben who my tears flowed for the most, especially hearing his thoughts; Ben and Arsen and that heart breaking, knife twisting epilogue completely messed with my head......utterly book-soul destroying......I need something more for him!!! You'll know who, if or when you've read the book!! I think this story is going to be with me for a while.....

Unscrupulous (The Manhattanites, #2) - Avery Aster This is tricky, I hate to be negative but this book just wasn't for me. Lots of other people, however, have given it a fabulous rating so please check out their reviews....

I have to be honest with my thoughts.......

The plot felt disjointed and didn't grab my attention. Tabby had some great lines and there was a lot of sexy times which I always LOVE but, because I wasn't feeling the story, I guess the sex and one liners lost impact for me. It was a little superficial and lacking in depth but this is only my opinion.

What I did like was Warner's back story, his history...it was touching and sad and I feel it could have been explored more.....I possibly would have preferred that story......

Warner's 'history' taught him a very important lesson....

Well it doesn't have to be always, but I like the sentiment! lol

I thought Warner had a lot of potential but again I couldn't completely warm to him......his character felt disjointed to me

I also liked the history behind Tabby.....and the mothers.....it was interesting but again I don't feel it was explored in depth.

Tabby seemed quite shallow in many ways...I couldn't get to the heart of her character and so I never really connected with her in anyway which caused major problems for me and my enjoyment of this book.

****

I LOVED these quotes from Warner who, in my opinion, was the best part of this story.

"Tonight, I want you to come again and again for me." ~ Warner
I love that line ♥

**Thank you to Avery Aster who kindly provided me with an arc of this book via NetGalley
