It's beautiful to read about a love so exquisitely powerful.
If you’ve read [b:The Mighty Storm|15724654|The Mighty Storm (The Storm, #1)|Samantha Towle|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1345793260s/15724654.jpg|21400430] then you will know and understand the depth of feelings and love Jake and Tru have for one another……for me, this second book celebrates these characters with beautiful words and emotions but it also gives us so much more. It gives a story of love, jealousy, sadness, friendship, grief, letting go and moving on from the past……....yes, from the start I could see the probable direction of the book, but I still lived it. And loved it. There is beauty in the writing and, even though it had some predictability, it still kept me wondering ~ what will happen next???? With butterflies in my tummy ♥

In Tru we have a heroine who can, at times, be annoying and incredibly frustrating with her inner thoughts and her actions, but the truth is Samantha has created a human character with flaws...she doesn't hold back on these flaws just like you or I wouldn't hold back on our inner thoughts ...why would we???

I so understand jealousy…it’s irrational but if you feel it, you feel it…it can eat away at you and has the ability to destroy.
I love everything about their relationship; their history and the potential of their future.
The conversation and banter between Jake & Tru's perfectly developed characters is simply joyful….the author writes with such skill and ease….......
♥ They made me smile, they made me laugh out loud, ("I have a huge penis." ~ this was hilarious) they made me cry buckets, they made me horny.....Oh yes it was as hot as hell....but most of all they made my heart swell and gave me the warm fuzzies.
Jake says the most beautiful heartfelt words to Tru but it’s not cheesy...it's still real.....still Jake....he's amazing.....
They have a love so powerful and this makes their sexual relationship even hotter to read. In my opinion…they are dynamite together, he worships her body……every single inch; it's beautiful and knicker wetting gorgeous.

A potentially life changing event occurs.... "Devastation. Complete and utter devastation."…...for me the floodgates opened... "How do you live when your life dies?"…….the way Samantha wrote this and the sentiment conveyed by the characters’ was just incredible...I could see and feel everything so clearly. AMAZING WRITING. Let me tell you reader he knew a whole lot more than that!!!
However....in places I found myself a little bored, it was too detailed at times about things I didn't need to know about...yikes...only during some parts (the detailed sex was fab!!!)...I actually wish I'd known the book was going to end at 70% because I could feel it had finished but it looked like I had a lot of book left??? I don't know if this put me off a little...so.... top tip, the e-book finishes at around 70%!!!!!
I kept waiting for something epic to happen but it just kind of simmered along, I would've liked a little more light and shade. I think some of the issues could've been further explored and developed to create more drama and angst and I wish we had learned more about the characters histories, but that is just my opinion.

There are times in the book where Jake shows his vulnerability, his caring side; he's afraid he's not good enough for Abby..... and this is when you fall in love with him and swoon!!!
So we've established this story is about your innocent girl meets bad boy rock star, the leading characters have interesting back stories and a fabulous supporting cast......Music of the Heart has all the elements for an enjoyable sexy read and that's what it was for me, light, sweet, nice and enjoyable.
**To make it epic and amazingly fabulous it needed more, for me personally......Why????
*At times the conversations between characters were a little unbelievable and even unnecessary, in my opinion. Sometimes you don't need a big signpost to know something…..us savvy readers can deduce the obvious.
*I found it difficult to truly believe parts of the story how much she still wants and desires Jake 2 minutes after hearing him have sex with another girl??? Also the 'drama' at the end, where he rejects her, was again not really plausible for the character or situation, imo
...all that said I still enjoyed it and even loved it in places, I found myself smiling through most of it, apart from when it made me cry.....'feeling' is good....I just needed something more...more angst.....more truth in the writing.....more showing and less telling.
Sometimes it warmed my heart, made it swell and was 4 star worthy and then at the other end of the spectrum I found I was cringing at the cheesiness......I guess it comes down to~
Do I think the character would actually say that and in a lot of cases, in this book the answer was no....sorry

Miranda J. Fox creates the perfect setting and characters for an erotic novel, the innocent and slightly wounded in love Emma, and the delicious, wealthy bachelor, James Carter.
Initially I felt that it was a story like many others of this genre......but, I read it a few days ago and I'm still thinking about it, so there must be something about Emma & James Carter.
I would definitely like to read more and discover where their story takes them. I would hope for more intrigue, more eroticism, more twists and turns and lots of hidden secrets; I'm sure we'll get them.
My Wish List for Love and Fire.....
*Personally, I would have liked Emma to be older, her character didn't ring true to me at only 21, but that's only my opinion.
*I would have liked greater insight into the back stories of the characters in order to connect with them more. It was sexy and erotic but, because I didn't connect with the characters, it felt slightly empty.
*Emma's friend, from her actions, didn't really seem like the good friend she's described as which I believe made Emma look a little stupid.....again, this is only my opinion.

After reading the Coincidence of Callie and Kayden for the first time in February, I was left reeling from the cliff hanger...aghhh!!! How could the author be so crawl and finish the book at, what felt like, the middle of a chapter? I was even a little angry, not like me at all!!!
Then along comes the sequel, The Redemption of Callie & Kayden and all is right in my book world again. It was so worth the wait, the anticipation; it may even have made me love the book a whole lot more in the end.
The story is told beautifully from the POV of both Callie and Kayden, some of the action is repeated from both perspectives which worked perfectly in my opinion.
♥ So, why is this book so amazing.....?
Callie & Kayden, two beautiful people who have led less than beautiful lives for reasons completely out of their control. The harrowing subject matter in both their cases is traumatic but dealt with so sensitively by the author. You feel their pain, their anguish, their helplessness......what was going to happen? I had absolutely no clue, but I was rooting for their happy ever after, their redemption, their justice.....
In different ways their family, who are meant to be their protectors, have let them down in a big way. Callie's family are not the perpetrators but the signs are there...she didn't feel able to talk to them; so very sad. Kayden's family, well all I can say is, there's evil in his house.....
They both face desperate situations. Broken does not even come close to explaining....it's poignant, heart breaking....how could anyone survive but people do....inner strength is an amazing thing.
My heart hurt reading this book, even when the characters are happy together they have so much pain trapped inside, and there are elements in their lives that are so damaged, you wonder how they can EVER be truly happy....?
They both have to face their fears, release their stories, their secrets.....let people help them, maybe then they can start to heal.
We see the characters grow and mature, individually and together, again the subtlety of the writing is amazing, nothing is over played...it's perfect and always true to the characters that have been amazingly developed by this talented author.
They understand each other’s pain, they don't always know this because they both keep things hidden......they come to understand.....they become the person to each other that knows everything....sex helps both of them release their pain, it's something positive they are able to do for each other.

"I love you." 3 little words; so hard for them to say but happily they both manage it by the end of this book.

A friends to lover's story....what's not to love??????
I have mixed feelings about this book, on the one hand I truly loved it and then on the other there were parts which, for me, just didn't work....
It's a story told from the dual perspective of our hero and heroine which is always a bonus for me......

Kyler is not only gorgeous and handsome but musically talented as well....

I loved the hero’s inner voice straight away, charming, charismatic, just lovely!
I loved a lot of things and so wanted to love the story more but if I'm completely honest this one fell slightly short of the 4 star grade for me....yikes...I know a lot of people loved it more....
I loved the effortless writing style, the theme, the characters, the dynamic between Kyler and Sydney; their relationship and friendship is really clear to the reader but the story for me was a little disappointing. I felt it was slightly contrived in places it was the guy going after kyler because of an ex girlfriend that annoyed me most, it was obvious what was happening and it just made me roll my eyes, and then Sydney did something that was just plain daft, with a stalker on the loose, imo... sorry I needed a little more depth and complex issues...just something more.
So, the first half of the book did not pull me in, as I would have liked, but the second half saved it for me.
From 50% on it started to HOT up....it was SMOKING HOT and sexy as hell....Kyler and Sydney are dynamite together...WOW...the second half of the book bumped my rating up from the 3 stars I was feeling....Phew!!!!
There were times, in the second half of the book when my heart broke for them.....I love a book that pulls at my heart strings and makes them ache!!!

I urge you to read this series!! Ella Franks has a fabulous writing style, it flows so naturally and she offers a dual POV throughout which I absolutely love!!!
So, why only 4 stars, you ask? This is why....
It was all slightly too nice in places a little soap drama-ish but after reading the following 2 books, I can say that this series gets better and better and I LOVE Lena and Mason's characters. Personally, I would have liked to feel a little more emotion and angst for a truly 5 star read. None of this spoiled the story for me.....

So my love affair with the Black Dagger Brotherhood continues with the story of Zsadist and Bella.
I absolutely adore Zsadist, he could be my favourite, just don't tell the brotherhood, because I'd like to try them all!! Oh yes!!

Zsadist is a tortured soul; he feels impure and has a past that is simply heartbreaking. It gets me right in the heart, a big strong man who has troubles to overcome.
A man who wants to please a woman, is very pleasing to read ♥

All the brotherhood are alpha men and they ooze hotness and sex appeal which gives us a panty dripping read...in this book we have the Needing, Bella's Needing….(the brotherhood are adorable when they discuss it between themselves, lol)
The Needing is THE fertile time for the ladies; it only happens once every 5 years and let me tell you...
Painful...
NEED...
WANT...
DESIRE...
Excruciating...
URGES...
...doesn't even come close to describing the ladies desperate need for a man and someone to ease the throbbing pain of sexual need between their legs!! And any man in the vicinity has a sudden desperate need for action.....wowza, it was so SEXY...I hope to experience the Needing again, PLEASE ♥ It gives want and desire a whole new meaning ♥
I loved finding out more about Bella and her character; her story with Zsadist, is truly beautiful.
We also learn more about Zsadist's brother Phury and the trials and tribulations they have been through together all adding layers, character development and fabulous depth to the story.
Phury is an amazing brother to Zsadist and so very, very wise.
The author is all the time cleverly interweaving the story of the other brothers, giving us insight into their characters and stories, setting us up for our next thrilling instalment.
I feel like J R Ward has sprinkled some magic on the Brotherhood series to make them addictive. I really enjoy them all the way through but from just before the half way mark, and that has been the case for all three books, I literally can’t put them down…real life gets in my way big time. Intensity passion, fierce unbreakable, bonding love....ahhhh....they are a beautiful, sexy read and Lover Awakened is my favourite so far.

Collide gave us a new book boyfriend, the swoon some and deliciously HOT Gavin ♥ It also gave us the cliff hanger from hell!!! I was desperate to get my hands on the sequel!! After much anticipation I was so happy to reconnect with Emily and Gavin and live out their happy ever after. (Well I hoped they would get a hea!)
I love the theme of fate running through this story, the idea that there is someone for everyone, you just have to wait for your paths to cross at the right moment and if you miss your moment, there will always be another chance.
I LOVE that and believe in it!!! Yes, I'm a romantic at heart ♥
The other major theme is domestic violence....
"Did you know one in three women wind up in a mentally or physically abusive relationship?" ~ Emily
This was dealt with extremely sensitively and in a subtle way throughout the story, adding to the emotion of it all.

Gavin is adorable and gorgeous and so very, very sweet. ♥

He also has very gifted fingers and, "...a very talented tongue." Oh yes!!! Ladies, he knows how to please which makes for a smoking HOT read!! Fabulous!!
Gavin and Emily have a HUGE amount of LOVE for each other....it oozes off the pages beautifully and the writing and sentiment is really quite stunning and profound in places.

For me personally, I would have liked a little more angst and some more conflict to make the reunion so much sweeter. It was all moving along so nicely (maybe too nicely?) I was waiting for an aghhhh moment....I felt like something drastic was going to happen....there was a WTF moment that made me cry (I can't say anymore about that without spoiling the story) but....well everything else was just lovely and wonderful......I loved the whole drama with the baby and, whose the Daddy?....But, really, it had to belong to Gavin or I think there would have been a riot!! lol
♥ All in all I would say if you loved Collide then you have to read this because Gavin is simply divine and the love between the characters is immensely beautiful.
If you haven't read Collide....what are you waiting for it's AMAZING!!!!!!
Bottle Tops and Twenty Questions create some very memorable, sweet moments....if you've read Collide and Pulse then I need say no more.....ahhhh.....sweet memories *Sigh*

Five Stunningly Beautiful Stars(This review assumes you know the story of Emma & Evan in the first 2 books)

Out of Breath, for me, is a truly fabulous read; I absolutely loved it. It's bursting with emotions and feelings all wrapped up in a bundle of LOVE ♥
I know not everyone has felt the same about this book and I completely understand the reasons why but I thought it was stunning; this is what I thought and why I LOVED IT!!
First of all I'm going to address the issue of Evan. He sadly didn't make a proper appearance for quite some time in Out of Breath but his presence, I felt, was always there.
Emma has small flashbacks to her life with Evan and the life she left behind. These memories make the story touchingly beautiful and at times moved me to tears. It's clear she still loves Evan. ♥

'I couldn't Breathe.'
Emma's best friend, Sara plays a huge part in this story and she plays it to perfection. I ♥ Sara and hope that maybe we get a book or novella about her and her love. The remaining characters, the new friends of both Emma and Evan are all wonderful in their own way.
Emma tries to move on with her life, the choices she has made and live with her decision of leaving Evan behind. (She did it for all the right reasons, even if they were somewhat misguided)

I have to say a fell a little in love with him but those who know the story will understand it, when I say he is NO MATCH for Evan ♥ So I waited & waited, felt a little sorry for Cole, and was finally rewarded with Evan and his almighty, gorgeous presence!! For me, he came in the story at exactly the right time; when he was needed. And some things are worth waiting for ♥
Emma's life choices in Out if Breath have been a contentious issue and as people have rightly said a little out of character. My view is that she is growing up and dealing with the shit that life has dealt her...namely, her bitch of an aunt, her useless uncle, her alcoholic, no good mother, the loss of her beloved father, the craziness with Jonathan and oh, let's not forget leaving behind the love of her life. She's also living with the dire consequences of her own choices.
There are reasons people sometimes behave out of character, they need something to numb the pain and let's face it she has many heartbreaking reasons. What she did wasn't sensible or pretty but it happens and Emma reaches her breaking point. Her emotions are out of control and people do crazy things in those situations. In Emma’s words she wants something that, “Strips my every thought and whisks away her pain.”
When Evan makes his return we are treated to a dual perspective of Emma & Evan throughout the rest of the book, which I absolutely LOVED…….it worked perfectly and gave a wonderful insight into their feelings for each other.
All Evan ever wanted from Emma was truth and honesty he wants to know all of her, the truth is so important for them to be able to move on with each other but is Emma able to do this and free her soul?

This book is full of self discovery, growing up and loving to the depths of your soul that one person who makes everything ok. Absolutely beautiful and I will never forget this incredible story ♥
