**3 Sweet Stars**
(Arc kindly provided for my honest opinion)
This book is the continuation of the relationship between Derrick and Justin; how their friends and the outside world react to them. At times they question their relationship:Will it last the distance?
Will others get in the way?
The couple begin to see how people react towards homosexuality, both the good and bad.
Their love for each other comes through in the storytelling……...
“I don’t want you to feel pressured. Your happiness is all that matters to me. Let’s just cuddle for a bit.”
I love, love, love it when characters cuddle in bed ♥ ♥ ♥
…...….but is their love for each other enough? Will they survive the obstacles put in their path?
The story is told from the POV of Derrick and Justin; I always enjoy reading a dual perspective from the love interests. We also hear the POV of another character called Hayden and, although I really liked him, he is a very interesting character, and had his own special friendship; I feel his was a separate story and could have perhaps been told in another book?
I liked all the guy talk and banter, and loved the intimacy between the main characters and seeing them gain in sexual confidence with each other.
So, why only 3 stars? I found it to be a little too detailed in places about inconsequential things and I would have preferred the story to concentrate on the main characters. Also, I would have liked to see more of a contrast between the characters’ highs and lows…………a little more light and shade and angst. I think young people of a similar age to the characters in the story would absolutely love this book!!!!!
